You tell me a band has albums called "Invoking the Majestic Throne of Satan" and "Magnificent Glorification of Lucifer" and I say HELL YEAH---bring it the fuck on!
Yeah, they're great. Not sure why M-A has still listed as a Colombian band as they relocated the the US a long time ago...even before Dagon joined the band, I think...but they kill. Definitely not what you'd expect from a black metal band, either.
Dude, I like what I'm hearing from these dudes. Interesting use of different (non-black metal) time signatures, lead guitar breaks, and the vocals are *unique*. But these guys are blasphemically awesome, and bring a good thrashiness that I like in my black metal as well. Fucking cool.
Good point about OG being there. This has become a decent fest to catch doom bands that you might not ever see, really.
Acid Witch are one of those bands: fucking cool as shit, but kind of obscure, too; didn't think I'd ever really catch them live (seeing as that style doesn't get on big tours or anything).
Maybe one day MDF can get Electric Wizard over. That'd be pretty damn rad.
"...For their seventh studio album, which is due for release in 2017, Coroner have signed a worldwide record deal with Sony Music Switzerland, which has enlisted the help of Century Media Records, a strong partner that will release Coroner records internationally. But for those fans who just can't wait for the new album, Coroner have a special treat in store: Autopsy will be released on September 23rd.
Autopsy is a 3 x Blu-ray + LP or a 3 x DVD + CD set that is jam packed with a documentary movie of the band’s history, live recordings, previously unseen interviews and a best-of compilation. The Vinyl + Blu-ray Box, which is limited to 3,000 copies, is a real collector's item and every copy of the box is signed by the band members themselves...."
