I will say that verizon, once I got ahold of the right person on friday was cool, it was the wading through all the intermediaries that blew.

me: this blackberry won't receive emails.
him: oh yeah? what have you done to troubleshoot it.
me: ticket # 254536374584734748965976067356235 with your people will specify the hours I spent trying to work through these issues. disabling sms devices, running driver updates, blah blah blah.
him: okay give me your address and we'll send a replacement.
me: oooooo-rah!
 
Every ISP I have dealt with is the same, once you get to the competent person then the problem is usually quickly solved, the problem is getting to the competent person. Worst is having to actually giving a DNS 101 or IP 101 course to the support people when they know that they have no idea to solve your problem because you know more than they do, yet they keep asking stupid questions about the problem...
