if you want to go to the roots of the hard/soft bipolarity in a song, you'd have to go back at least as far as led zeppelin, as in Over the Hills and Far Away and Stairway to Heaven.

I read the rest of the reviews in this issue and i have to say, it's really wonderful the way they write reviews in this magazine. There is no number / stars rating system, and the reviews are all descriptive and completely devoid of judgement. There is no competition between releases and no personal negativity issues taint the reviews themselves. Truly great.

Wire is a good mag. They cover a lot of really interesting stuff and actually write for smart people as opposed to the maxim crowd that everyone else shoots for.
