So I just finished up this bands EP and wondering what everyone thinks of the mix. I picked this track because the chorus is so damn catchy.
The drums were all tracked live then I took samples. we spent a ton of time on making samples of the kit. The snare was a ddrum 13x6.5 inch snare which turned out great ( I used slate room samples to blend with the snare since I don't have the greatest sounding room and I wanted to give it more space) The rest of the kit was birch shells I believe. I can't remember the brand. The only thing about the drums I don't like is the OH separation. I think I could have gotten the OH's to sit better but it's a little to late now haha.
Bass is DI with a sans amp rbi blended. Guitars are through a soldano hot rod 100 with an ac booster pedal through a mesa OS cab and a single 57.
