Hey guys, been doing some catch up work this week so here is another mix I could use some ears on.
The drums are all live except the kick was triggered so that isn't natural. I made a sample out of his snare and blended it with a room samples in the SSD4 plug in. The live snare making up probably 60%, the sample just helping with consistency, and the room sample helping make the snare have more depth and sound better overall. I made samples out of his toms but ended up not using them and just automating all the drum tracks so the toms sounded up front. Also if there was a weak tom hit in the performance, I just would go through and replace that tom hit with a stronger one in the same fill.
Guitars - 5150 iii through a mesa OS with an ac booster. mic'd with a sm57 and sennheiser md421
bass - sans amp with a dirt track and low end track
