well, i dont know that ive ever felt that way. but ill always speak up to defend groups of people(or just one person) from generalizations, or not even to defend them just to make people think and to think out my own views on things. because sometimes i dont really know...part of me says let people do stupid shit, part of me says stop them, part of me just says dismember them...basically its just fun (and important) to debate things :p

And I apologize if my remark about the shacks in appalachia offended you in any way. I'm actually quite familiar with the area and know its pluses too. You're right, it's breathtakingly gorgeous, especially at this time of year. I have some family and friends in west virginia who live way up in the mountains, and every time I'm there I ponder moving. (and then I wake up and realize I wouldn't last a second there. ) [/B]

:) cool! west virginia is even more gorgeous than here i think! ive noticed much less litter there the few times ive been.
but yeah i wasnt offended. i like the shacks.

Those pics are uplifting/beautiful. God, I could sit up there alone for hours. There's nowhere like that around here that you can just walk off into the woods and just be alone. There's always a path that someone uses or you run into someone. You can't go into the woods without seeing garbage. It totally bites.

"Red sun rising somewhere through the dense fog.
A portrait of the jaded dawn who had seen it all before. OOH!" ;)

Hey Lina, Evisceratrix isn't the only one here from TN.
 I now live in Middle TN but I used to live in Cumberland Gap which is about as Appalachian as you can get in this state. My hope is that I'll be able to retire back home there in my older years.

No big comment or rant here. Just trying to not make Evisceratrix feel alone in this conversation. :)

Murfreesboro. We're just down the road from each other:grin: !

Yep, obviously I'm a guitarist. rainwatermedia.com/chris is my URL. Right now there's just a couple of paragraphs there explaining where I've been over the past year but there's a link to my mp3.com page below all that.

Yes, MTSU has the Recording Industry Management program,(usually just called RIM). It has its' good points but a good majority of the students who enroll in it drop out after the first semester due to the "weeding-out" process which tends to go on. It's a big draw for the university but if a student dosen't have the talent to do it then the professors tend to give them much more than they can handle and don't provide much guidance. It's a necessary process.

Check your ICQ. I sent you a add request. I'd be happy to help you with your paper. I can give you alot more insight into what I mentioned above. I've also been in the music business for about ten years and have worked on Music Row in Nashville.
