i think i've learned, in the past 24 hrs, that the consensus is: if you have achieved "genius" once, and then weren't achieving "genius" things for the rest of your life, you are disqualified from "genius"-dom.

along those same lines nick, we had a workstudy in my office once who would sell a band's entire catalog that he had on cd if they started releasing albums that sucked because it would tarnish the genius of their early stuff.
