I don't know the song very well, I'm listening as I post this. Are you going to be playing the acoustic parts? if so, try to learn it slow, slower than the original but with the note lenghts intact for tempo you're playing in. The slow playing applies to everything in guitar that's too fast for what you're used to. I think it's a golden rule that some guitarrists who start playing guitar without method (like me) tend to discard or not know at all. Then when you feel more or less secure/confortable with it, i.e you know all the chord progressions, you can play it, even if you're still nervous and do errors, try to follow the band. Put your CD on and try to play over it, pay attention to their playing tricks...do it enough times till you feel comfortable. Above all, try to enjoy it or you'll easily tire the song and you'll lose focus. The key-trick of it is also "practise, practise, practise". If you have a recorder or you can record yourself to PC, you should also record yourself playing and then analyse what you did wrong. When you find some part where you feel nost discomfortable with, practise that separate part ad infinitum...this is the type of thread where I don't know what to answer without resorting to common sense, wish there was more I could tell you.
Good luck!
