I was going for a slightly different sound than I usually am, cause I thought this band needed something more "brutal" (drums etc)

You don't have to tell me whether or not you like crabcore

Nice mix Lasse, although that china is a bit weird, a bit clangy? for lack of a better word! I like drums overall, nice guitar tone, vox is wayy buried don't you think? You obviously know that, since this is a rough mix. Overall it sounds good. But what annoys me is that these kind of bands that do the same crap over and over will get signed eventually

I'd like to hear the guitars a bit more in the chorus, but everywhere else they're at a solid level. Really like that guitar tone - Recto + 5150?

And that kick is fucking awesome! Has a unique kind of 'slappiness' to it that fits the mix perfectly! What sample did you use there, bychance?

Turn down snare ambience during beginning, but crank it when the song gets louder.

Guitars have a great tightness in the low end! The mix is ultra clean.

I like the guy that sounds like more like the In-Flames screamer than the disembodied serial killer screamer.

Big +1 on the kick, LOVE that slappiness (though I feel it could come up a bit, or maybe just have a touch more body) Guitars are sweet as hell, but too middy IMO. And wow, this music, my sympathies Also, that cymbal in the right channel during that opening riff is a bit distracting, I'd bring it down a bit. And the snare has a great pop/snap, though could use a touch more body as well IMO. Overall badass though!

yeah, unfortunately in the chorus the 2 guitars are playing something that's really fighting with each other, so I decided to not have them too loud.
guits are all 5150, kick is a blend of some different stuff, mainly my Yamaha Drum I think.
on the snare: yeah, I didn't wanna repeat myself and went more into the in flames direction with it.
the cymbal...yeah, that's his china, I might turn it down a bit.

the bassguitar prooves the awesomeness of the PSA1 imo

I really like it. It starts sounding better like, 30 seconds or so in? Whenever the snare sound changes a bit. I really fucking like that snare. Sounds very In Flames-ish.

To me, this is the best mix I've heard from you. Everything sounds perfect. The drums totally have that million dollar tone that's so hard to capture, and the guitars sound fanfuckingtastic as well. And as someone else mentioned, I too was reminded of Slipknot's tone (not music) right off the bat. Something about the drums, I think.

Truly one of your best mixes Lasse!!!!! There's nothing to say that the previous guys didn't mention. Perhaps lower a little bit of the hi-hat. Otherwise it's perfect!!!! Can you share any info of the bass and the snare? The snare sounds like In Flames but in a good way,cause I don't like their snares after Clayman,but this is great!!!

Everything sounds great, lacks some high end and has just a tad too much lowmids (only my oppinion).
What boost was used on the guitars (and was it green or red channel)?
I think you should turn the ambience up on everything to make it sound even bigger, the vocals and the snare especially.
