From what I've seen here, most of you dislike Cradle Of Filth, but is anyone going to the show tonight in the T.?

I don't dislike them. I went to the show earlier this month. I'd seen Dimmu Borgir the weekend before, so I have to say I was a little disappointd. DB put on a better show.
For the first time ever, I'd have to say I enjoyed their music more on cd than I did live. I don't think Dani can hit all his vocals correctly live and towards the end, he started sounding tired. I wouldn't say don't go, but be prepared. They do get props from me for the stage show and for using a live female singer instead of tapes.

Ya, I was wondering about the female vocals. I dunno, I love Cradle, but haven't seen them live yet, I hope I'm not disappointed

Hey, I actually like cradle of filth - I think their album Damnation and a Day is not only a good release in terms of what cradle of filth do, but in terms of metal in general. It actually exhibits some progressive influences as well, which I thoroughly enjoy.

I like cradle too..but they're new stuff isn't as good as dusk and bitter suites. I saw them this year around august...they're pretty good live..except for those chicks and stuff.
It wasn't bad per se, I just expected more from them. I'd seen their live DVD a couple times so I expected a little bit more than I got. I would go see them again if they come as well.FretsAflame said:

I don't see how many "underground" bands have almost a page of merchandise in Infinity1 catalogs. Why do I have a problem with them being the poster boys of Black Metal? Because there are a lot more bands better than Cradle of Filth: Emperor, Immortal, Dimmu Borgir, etc...

plus i think cradle have taken great strides as artists over the years - Damnation and A Day is quite good.
