Creating a click mp3...

Hey,

how do you get your click tracks out of cubase? As there is no way to export it, I usually connected a output of my interface with another input of it and record the click. But I am always afraid of destroying my interface with this shortcut! ;D

Whats your workaround to achieve this?

Firstly, that isn't going to hurt your interface in any way. I'm not a Cubase guy, but why not create a midi tracks of 1/4 notes an freeze it?

yep
create midi track with 1/4 or 1/8, use you favourite sound with a VSTi, programm your tempo map and export it to mp3.

i use this for ages and it works without problems.

also you can limit the shit out of bounced track so it can be loud as much as you want it.
