What do you guys think about the production on this CD?

I'm getting a real 90s sort of nu-metally vibe from the way it's been done. Deceptively raw sounding, but at the same time fairly tight and produced. I find it really cool! A bit different to the Nickelback, Disturbed and Paramore I've been spinning lately. Sounds like it deserves a place in the 'reference' pile.

Oh nice. Must've missed it. No surprise that CLA mixed it then. I was a bit half-half on that, because it sounds different enough to his other work, but at the same time has some of 'those' characteristics.

Pretty good production. CLA has some classy mixing chops, no question.
Dig the guitar sound quite a bit too.
Now, if only the music was quite as good as the production, I'd be all set as using it as a reference. Admittedly, if I can't actually sit through something and genuinely enjoy the music too, it's a no go for a reference for me.
I can't really sit through any of the Nickelback, Disturbed and Creed stuff, no matter how good the production.
Paramore sits fine with me though when it comes to CLA mixed stuff, BNE is probably in my top 10 of 2009 albums.
