criticize my metal cooooore mix (first post ever!)

this is my first post on this site, ive been lurking for a while. this is a local band i recorded, it will eventually be mixed by ultimatemetal.com veteran julian mazzola (he has over 1000 posts on this site!!!). this is just me practicing mixing and mastering on my free time, so tell me whats wrong this mix please. i car tested it and i thought it sounded pretty good.

Well for starters the guitars sound... very odd. Small, boxy and undergained comes to mind. Drums overall sound really dry. Could be my headphones failing but it sounds like guitars are panned a bit odd.

i just reupped with more reverb, good suggestion! im too lazy to redo the guitar tones right now, since this is just practice

Sounds pretty good so far, but the cymbals need some humanization, and the snare is a bit too loud, dry and cracky.

The toms sounds really boxy and bit quiet and the snare sounds really, really dry and thin. I'd personally want a fatter snare sound. It's also a bit loud. I agree with Cory that the cymbals need a bit of humanization as well. Other than that I really like the mix, especially where the kick sits in it. Good job.
