First Hammers....now Crescent Shield and Antiquus. I am very impressed with the latter two as of recently.
Obviously, enough has been said of The Hammers.

And sheesh, I sho is drunk. I'm a day early.
Yeah it really is a cool pure blooded metal album. This review did the trick for me.

I know people around here tend to be a little less enthusiastic about the Pharaoh album than I am, but I dig the hell out of it. A definitel top 10 entry.
Guys, check out ONWARD- Michael Grant of Crescent Sheilds former band.
I'll upload some samples if no one has heard them.
Crescent Shield is a solid band, nothing more. Although I like where their heads are at, the songs just aren't that memorable (and I've listed to the disc a half dozen times).
Antiquus, after one listen, doesn't seem to warrant a second.
Pharaoh is another band whose songs fail to really grab hold. I own both discs, but can't say I reach for either one very often.
Zod
That only means there are a lot of wrong people out there.Yeah, but, you're tastes are at odds with everyone elses.
Cruz del Sur is easily the best label for 2006 (in metal, of course)
Antiquus and Crescent Shield are in my personal top 3, the new Hammers of Misfortune is a descent album (although I think is not better than August Engine) and I am waiting the new Pharaoh to check it out.
