For those who may don't know...

The new EP of the biggest heavy metal surprise of 2007 is already out.

With brand new and previously unreleased songs, interesting covers, samples from their live appearances.

Chech them out at: http://www.myspace.com/crystalviperofficial

Unfortunately I have not listened to it yet. :erk:

I am sure that you will like "The Curse of Crystal Viper", Wyv. :)

As for me, I ordered the EP today, I hope that I will have it delivered at the end of the week, so I will be back with my opinion.

I love Marriage of Heaven and Hell part 1, but it's funny - The tempo and key change in the Blood and Gasoline cover make it sound more like Megaman music.

Maybe they´ll get the recognition that band deserves. However I have to say that in my opinion, their debut, "The curse of crystal viper", is far better than "Metal nation". I hope they return a little to the original sound (not so german).

By the way, Marta Gabriel and Golem (drummer) have a parallel project with MArtin Allbrecht (former Stormwitch and Mystic Prophecy) and Bjorn Daigger (ex Majesty). It´s called Born Again. There´s a couple of songs in their myspace. I like "Neverending fire" but not too much the other one.

I agree. "The Curse..." is far better than their sophomore release which is good, but nothing special.

I 'll check out Born Again soon, as I love Marta's vocals.

Good for them, although so far I hadn't problem getting their stuff. Maybe they get more territory covered with AFM.

I also like more the debut than "Metal Nation", but I keep following them unless they become utterly repetitive or change drastically their sound.

Metal Nation was a fine album... But it was a different take. Not that it was a bad take for them but the next one should be a hell a lot better for sure, seeing their potential.

I thought Metal Nation was a lot better than the debut; more focused songwriting, better sound, just a lot more energy overall.

I also have had no problems tracking down their albums so far, yet I can't blame them for joining AFM. They have a very strong roster and I guess they do a good job overall as bands like JOP and Masterplan have been with them for years.

What a pity! I listened the album a bunch of times and I can only say: Disappoint! Not bad but rather average. They have lost the magic of their first effort. Too europower metal with happy melodies.

I downloaded it some days ago. The album is not bad actually, may not be as epic and fresh as the debut but is not a jaded average same-ol-same power metal album (which I cannot say from Helloween new endeavour). I guess that with a couple of more listens I may be ready to buy it.
