Cubase 5 REVerence + IRs

I just wanted to let everyone know that in Cubase 5.1.1 (a free update for all Cubase 5 users) the 2048 samples of latency are gone from REVerence, so the plugin is finally capable of low-latency realtime playthrough, making it an ideal plugin to use with guitar speaker cabinet IRs. As such, it's finally been added to the list of supported plugins for Recabinet.

Very excited about this, the plugin sounds great and takes very little CPU!

The update's been out a little while, but this change to REVerence made it in so quietly that I didn't notice until today.

HAHA, some time ago i've been thinking about using REVerence as a IR host but all the time i thought that it is not possible to import IR's into REV.

One nice feature in SIR2 is the file browser on the right side. You don't get that with REVerence, just an import button and the ability to save presets. The EQ in REVerence is good for doing basic hi/lo pass, and it sounds every bit as good as SIR2 which is what matters the most.

Yeah it is odd. But the EQ is turned off by default, at least.
