Cubase 6 hitpoint detection

I recently upgraded to version 6 and I really love the new "auto-slicing" feature, will save me tons of time on editing. There's just one thing that bugs me a bit, and it's with the hitpoint detection function:

Ideally I'd like to be able to set the hitpoint threshold individually for different parts but I can't figure out how. I tried marking a range and then detecting hitpoints, and it did create hitpoints for only that range, but after that I can't repeat the process for other selections so that didn't work out. I also tried cutting up the parts, but hitpoint detection works for the whole file apparently. The only thing I can think of is to bounce the different parts, but it feels like a bit overkill: should be an easier way.

Anyone?
