My friend and I recorded some samples of his 14" Cube Custom Birch Snare.
There's nothing special about the mic placement or the mics. We used 57 on top and bottom. no room mics (I'll add room samples to the finish pack).

Cymbals, Kick and Toms are Superior but there's no snare bleed in the OH Track so you're listen to the raw snare track (except for some little compression and eq adjustment).
Maybe we'll do some samples of his whole kit (14" and 16" tama starclassic, 22x18 Kick) with top/bottom mic as well as room mics and Kick In/Out.
So, what do you think about this short example? We record only hard and rimshorts - so there are no rolls or ghostnotes.
