+1, SPL TD is amazing. I use the shit out of it on any and most all room mics, snare, kick, etc.....

the attack just can't be cranked to high or you get crazy random spikes with a SUPER BRUTAL 'pop' kind of sound. ugly.

I tend to do the opposite on room mics. Add a little bit of sustain and remove a tiny bit of attack.

The snare body sounds pretty nice, but not digging the ambiance too much :/
