Curious about Watain

on the Watain website they have an mp3 of "I Am the Earth"

I've been downloading some songs to see if i like the band, and was wondering, is the sound quality on the album the same as that of the mp3 on the site? Cause the songs i dled don't have the same sound quality as that mp3 from the site.

i haven't downloaded any songs from their site either but the production on casus luciferi is top notch. and it's one of the best black metal albums made.

Check the bitrates.

I find Casus Luciferi to be rather overrated, personally. But I'm not really a fan of that style of black metal.

the bitrates are the normal 192 kbps

the bit rate on the mp3 on the Watain site was 112 though and yet it sounds better. weird

Yes, the quality of MP3 from the site is about the same as that on the album.
