Quick question guys..... when using this are you supposed to set your knobs on your amp pretty much at noon, since you will be adding eq on in the end? Or would you just record with your normal settings? Oh and if someone cant point me to a thread on here with Faq's and whatnot, that would be great!!!

so your trying to set all the mid, treb, pres, bass on your amp to 0 and then get your eq from curve eq?

Killzone.

You can't set mids, bass etc.. at 0.

The curve eq will quite make the sound similar to the source, but it will not "replace" entirely.

So it's better to record with your own settings, and after to apply a curve eq to paste with the "eq capture".

So in context it looks like this :

guitar --> sound card ----> amp sim with your usual settings ---> sir2 or voxengo boogex or whatever with an impulse ---> curve eq loaded in voxengo curve eq or assimilator or whatever.

This is the normal chain. but you can add a sneap C4 before if you want to minimalize the palmute noise.

Check out Dandelium's posts about sims and you'll find the best way to use it.

A question : what are your curve eq ? are they coming from bands you listen ?
