And there's also that resurgence going on in Sweden with bands like Skitsystem, Disfear, and Wolfbrigade that put out some killer stuff.

Yeah but really haven't listened to a lot. I need to check out more of these bands. Perhaps you can recommend me a short list of albums?

Disfear - Misanthropic Generation

Check those out those for starters. Should give you a good feel for the genre.

D-Beat and punk rock in general are actually my true favorites

Recently started to get back into this genre again. A relatively new band to check out is Nuclear Death Terror. Also worth looking into is Dodsdomd, Martyrdod and War Ripper who does a nice job of mixing crust with black metal. You can't forget Amebix either, very important band for this style.

Yeah, Nuclear Death Terror rule. I just recently discovered them as well.

I wouldn't really call Amebix d-beat, though. They're more of a straight-up crust punk band.
