D.I BOX HELP!

i record using amp sims and i need a d.i box (or di boxes) .

ok so do i get an active d.i box for passive pickups?

and what do i get for active pickups?

i record both active and passive pickups depending on the bands so i would need a d.i that can handle both OR if that's not possible i'm willing to buy 2 of them.

i don't know much about d.i boxes so i need help with this.

18V EMGs here and using a cheap active Samson S-Direct.

It does its job nicely and has a low and smooth noise floor.

Had an acquaintance tell me there was an audible different going from DIXLR-out>XLR to TRS>Interface Line-in compared to DIXLR>Interface XLR

That had me a little confused after I thought about the whole preamp bypass versus impedance. I don't remember reading that anywhere though and have yet had time to compare or clear that up since I've been working every day all fucking dayyy
