Dam chr-- mos-- err, Top Gear?

Its a car show that just happens to be the best shot thing on television. The cinematography and creativity that it breeds is simply amazing. It stuck out like dogs balls to me back when tiff and vicki hosted it. Wilman produced it then too I believe. The fact it is so popular outside of the car enthusiast realm shows you how much they know about being entertaining. They've started to swing back around in the normal show to present amazing films, car porn, and entertainment. By their own admission its a show about getting to the 11y.o. in all of us that had car posters splattered on the wall, and knew every car on the road from 50m. It's the stuff that guy wants to do.

Political correctness isn't a virtue thats to be held high or valuable. Theres no need for it. Unless you're gullible enough to believe it to be 'better' behaviour. That you have more 'class' to be so polite. Those of us who have self confidence and happiness in ourselves already shouldn't be punished for these misguided individuals. Just like women shouldn't be punished by being born muslim. That comics piece was incredibly boring and futile and entirely missing the point. He's a perfect case of a little extra intelligence breeding a huge pile of ignorance. You don't have it figured out mate, not even close. And I assume it wasn't satire since there was no entertainment value in it at all. Three stooges might be lame, but it had decent writing for the time...

Not my answer, but our country's answer... At least that's the official story, to overthrow the Taliban and stop all this fucked up archaic religious bollocks.

The irony can't be overlooked that we are blowing them up too (innocent people too), which is all I'm saying, whether it be for the greater good or not. They didn't ask us to do so.

I'm kinda with you.........

What I say is that killing the extreme minority members of a large cultural/religious group doesn't reduce extremism, it promotes it.

I think you'd need to be more familiar with Stewart Lee and his work to really get his brand of comedy. Your criticism of him comes out of fanboism for the show and a lack of understanding about the wider cultural issues.

The presenters of Top Gear each in their own way help to perpetuate the cycle of ignorance and xenophobia - and I'm not just referring to dressing up in burkas. Jeremy Clarkson regularly spews out utter bullshit in his columns.

I'm no fan of political correctness either. But I do believe in mutual respect and understanding. When Stewart says 'He likes to see Clarkson sneer at a Sheikh on his behalf' he's saying far less about Top Gear than he is about the typical audience for the show.

And the typical audience for the show are these lower class wankers with no respect for anyone outside of their own social group. They put heavy emphasis on football teams, flags, soldiers, and all other sorts of nationalistic bullshit. They live dead empty existences, and wrap it up in the guise of 'happiness' and 'confidence' ...

And I fucking hate them. And if you are one of them. I fucking hate you too.

Er.. peace.
