I just got a copy of the reissue and was bummed to find out that it was taken from vinyl. I also think it's just a new master pulled from the bootleg. Not 100% sure, but I do have some good ears on me despite going deaf.
Yes, I was bummed. it's not terrible, but it's definitely from LP or a master that was in BAD BAD shape because of crackling tape. But I am going with vinyl source.
It is kinda unexpected since Bart Gabriel takes pride of being a renowned producer / studio engineer learning the craft from the best. One would expect his releases to be top-notch in that regard. But as it is with many old demos/albums, perhaps the original master tapes have been lost or something...

I was unaware of his pride of engineering. Well, this sounds like it has some cleaning software used on it, but not much. the evidence of the same drop outs on the bootleg being on this edition too isn't good.

Got Facebook message from Bart/Skol. He informed me that the conversion was from band's reels which as expected were not in the greatest shape. I told him I would pass information along to everyone here. \m/
