Anyway, I guess most Europeans over here (let's say 90%) are disgussed about the USA and we laugh about the country a lot. This summer I'm heading for California for 3 weeks and I'm eager to find out wether the average American is that fat, wether you can't find a decent breakfast with only bread and cheese, wether the traffic is so superbly slow etc...

Feeling superior already, hahaha...

Just joking, must be one hell of a beautifull country.

I completely agree about the bible belt part. The bible belt and the religious right in general make up the huge percentage of our country, and that's the ill-educated sect that elected the corruption that's running our country into the dirt. Bring back the Norse ways via the Allthing!!!

Don't forget that Christianity and other organized religions were the central part of european life politics for much of civilization. I don't care how bad the Bible Belt is, in 1200 AD, if you were european and a known pagan (or heathen) you were as good as dead, you had no choice but to follow the church.

You right....the U.S. is a beautiful country......but i dont think your going to find a good breakfast...and yes most of the U.S. is fat......and yes traffic blows in the major cities here.....
I dont actually hate the US....but there are many things and attitudes that euros have that are much cooler.....

exactly, there is a lot of good things about the US, our people and some select places yet i'm drawn more to european culture - history, art, music, accents, language etc... I swear i was an englishman in my past life!

Just go to Dallas...It's definately better than Houston (I've lived in both places). Actually, I would rather be in Dallas than most places in the United States.

If you Americans are sick of America but don't have enough money to go anywhere else, try Louisiana...It's basically a different country. There aren't any "pretty" people (not deformed stereotype, they are just regular looking people for some reason), they are almost all friendly (except the blacks...I'm not rascist, it's just a fact, most of the blacks outside of Bourbon Street are discusting zombies), a lot of people, especially around Lafayette are speaking French because of all the Cajuns, and bla bla bla.

Just go live in a small town/community in the hill country of Texas if you want friendly. Besides, it's gorgeous up there in springtime. And I'll be living in downtown Houston for the next four years...hopefully it isn't too bad. I'm going to UH on a full scholarship to major in applied music, aka playing classic piano.

I live in Ann Arbor Michigan......where the college is...and where being politically correct is a virtue.....I love it here....we have coffee shops like most towns have bars.....and we have extremely nice places to eat....and the dumpiest all night diners ever....and headshops....hippy shit galore....and yuppie joints to boot......it is one of the best places in the country to be noticed as an artist.....girls outnumber guys here 4 to 1......and they are all hot college chicks spendin daddys money like there is no tomorrow.....we have bums here too....its one of the best places to be homeless I have ever heard of....I have been homeless on the streets here too...so I know.......but outside of my hometown is all shit.....to the east we have ypsi...or as its better known YPSITUCKY.....I hate that place.....Ann Arbor is an oasis for everyone....whatever you are or wherever you come from......and its close to Detroit too...in case we want to go see some murders....or a show or something....or go to the casino......

I have some quite unusualy teeth action going on (slightly misplaced "fang" type things), but I am not that partial to biscuits. What do Americans mean by "biscuits"... is it cake? I know that "cookies" is the word that you use for biscuits.

We do have some horrific women here as well, not sure why, but most of the swamp pigs seem to be in my locality as well... not to mention the most annoying of the "English" accents. Embarrassing.
