Daniel Spitz or Kirk Hammett

Let's see.............

One one hand we have a psycho cross-eyed midgett who is boring as fuck on stage, has a greater passion for watches then guitar, and seems to have lost his grip on reality almost completely.

On the other hand, we have a seemingly gay, passive, seel-out who seems to think that the wah wah peddle is more important then the guitar he is actually playing.

.

LMMFAO :tickled: :tickled:

Kirk. His work on stuff like One, Fade to Black, Unforgiven, etc is superb.

They both recieve the Thrillho D-

Both amazing guys in their day - but I lost all respect for kirk. Mainly because he chooses to stay in Metallica. The BIGGEST sell-out band ever. A band that tells him "We are not going to have lead guitar on this record" and he LETS THEM have their way. It's bad enough he has not played a good lead in years, but now they have taken away his use in the band, and he continues to stick it out. It's not like he needs the money.

Spitz, what can I say, the man scares me. Straight up. I love all the work he did with Anthrax, but let's face it - it is hard to compare these two. We have not heard a new lead out of Spitz since SOWN. I mean, we know Kirk continued to decline - maybe Spitz still has some aces up his sleave, we won't know for a while if we ever do get to find out.

So yeah I pick Dimebag.

I never looked at it that way! Right on, I totally agree. I doubt Dan has any ace up his sleave. I think he's way more into watches than he is shredding on guitar. And he's sober. I hate to sound like the devi's advocate but don't you need sin to make something sound "evil"??

At least Rob Caggiano likes to drink until he wakes up in a stupor to find out where he has to be.

I lost pretty much all respect for kirk afte I saw that movie. He puts up with all their shit, barley raises a struggle at all. Then they tell him "Sorry, man, no solos" and he starts to act like he will not tolerate it, then he buckles. "yes, massa boss, whadeva you say, massa!" Even if they had let him put leads in the songs they would have sounded like ass anyway. Anybody can use a wah pedal, it takes some talent to write a good solo.

Mmmmm think about if Kirk did make a solo.

I think it most probably would of been a "wah wah" solo considering Kirk hasn't done anything but a "wah wah" solo in a very long time (since Black or Justice?) and would most likely be utterly terrible.

When you're in the number 1 metal band (Mainstream wise), people tend to overlook you and hype you up i would presume, which i think is what has happend to Kirk. He isn't godlike but people tend to think he is for it :worship:
