I used to be really into dark ambient stuff. Lustnord is a great rec. Heresy is some of the darkest music I've ever heard.

Try out some of the Finnish dark ambient acts. Groups like Halo Manash, Aeoga, I.Corax, Arktau Eos, etc. Contains one of the members of Dolorian.
