When I am producing musik I find it hard to be consistent in my songwrighting.
It is to easy to make a song that´s not in the same genre as the other songs.
Is it only me that have this problem?
Well, here is my latest song:

commenting on what you said: I completely agree. The hardest part about writing is not writing something that's generic and has been done a billion times already. That's why I try to keep things fresh and unique with song structures, chord progressions, melodies, and instrumentation but still keeping it metal with all the elements I personally love.

Yes the first thing I think about when doing a new song is not to make it like everyone else. Intro, bridge, verse, brige, chorus.......and so on. Everyon does it, and it gets so boring to listen to.
It´s better to make it more unpredictable.

I have the same problem, I am now finishing an EP with 4 songs and was a really pain in the ass to stick with the kind of style that I had on the first song. I find really hard to write countless songs with just one kind of style in mind. But this is also because I can jump from hearing a black metal song to a electronic song. I cant hear the same shit and album for too long.
