Darkest Hour-Undoing Ruin

Victory Records 2005

Now, I’m not much of a fan of this band’s previous efforts but on record #3 they pulled all the stops & even enlisted the help of The Strapping Young Lad himself Devin Townsend. This D.C. Group is known more for their hard core sound, but have shifted gears & have come out of the studio with one of the best metal-core records of the year. I know that’s quite a strong statement, but it is true. This is a record that even the metal faithful can groove on. Undoing Ruin will likely drawn a broader audience to Darkest Hour. It’s punchy, in your face & contains enough razor sharp riffage to slice right through you., like a knife through butter. Devin Townsend has done with Darkest Hour what he has done to Lamb of God & Soilwork, go grab yourself a copy of Undoing Ruin, now.

i dont like the production on the it and i definitly think their last record, hidden hands of a sadist nation, is alot better. devin townsend is one of my favorite artists but i dont like what he did here.
