Listening to their Calling the Earth to Witness album for the first time....second album coming after!!! What a great talented prog band. A mixture of Seventh Wonder, DGM, some Fates Warning (Habit), Artension (keyboard overtones) and....can´t place it right now, but great Prog metal anyway you look at it!!

I am proud to say that I am Darkwater's sponsor for Prog Power in September. "Where Stories End" is a really great album and "Calling the Earth to Witness" is one of my all-time favorites. Lots of talent here with a keen eye toward melody and endless chops.
Tallest Tree is also one of my all-time favorite songs - passion, melody, lots of crunch and plenty of prog. I recently e-mailed Henirk Bath asking if they could play Tallest Tree at Prog Power. He said that they would almost definitely play it. I can't wait!

If you like DARKWATER, then I highly recommend checking out the last two HARMONY albums. It's basically the same exact band members, same vocalist & guitarist. IMO, the HARMONY songs are much better and catchier.
Also, I do not understand why anyone would compare DW to Evergrey. I'm not a fan of Evergrey but I'm a huge fan of DW, so no comparison to me at all.... just sayin'.

I am a big EG fan too. Just a bit on the riffs and guitar-keyboard harmonies. that is what I hear. Of course EG riffs and overall tone are darker and that voice is incomparable!!
