It would be fun and all, but I think alot of people on the internet will see it just as a publicity stunt and be all negative about the results without even listening to it.

I doubt that. I think there would be high interest in it and the haters can hate all they want while they miss out. Most of those people are just jealous musician wannabe's who wish they could play one Megadeth song without their forearm burning.

I just don't see this working out too well if it were to go ahead. Also, I smell a last-ditch desperation attempt on Dave's part here... I still don't think he's quite over being canned from the band.
Still, it it were to happen then I'd certainly check it out and see what I think. And if I enjoyed it, then cool. If not, no huge loss.

Kirk would never agreet to be in a band with Mustaine...after all Kirk stole Mustaines job in Metallica.

The more I think about this the stranger it is. Mustaine got kicked out of what later became the most famous metal band, and I admire him for forming Megadeth, which in my opinion has put out way better albums than Metallica over the last 20 years. What is he trying to prove? Surely it can't be about money. Is it pride? His gargantuan ego?

I tried to tell you that people but you didn't want to listen to old Alteremindeath doesn't know what he's talking about. The fucker wants to make an album that blows away any Metallica album. Kirk may not be the best guitarist but when Metallica came out in the 80's his style was fresh and new compared to all the crust rock players at the time. Plus, he can outplay most of the wannabe musicians of today.

Hmmmm... maybe, maybe... but that being said, most of what Mustain has done since Metallica went a bit rubbish has been better than their stuff anyway.
Overall I do agree Megadeth has the better overall discography but Metallica has put out some better records. I was suprised when I heard Mustaine wanted to make a record with Hetfield it's like come on man wake up.

One of the things I hated most about the big 4 (apart from scott not being there) was that there were people having arguments in the crowd throughout the day with the whole Megadeth vs Metallica thing.
