The guy was the singer on the first two Metal Church albums... Carbonized had initally pasted the whole press release blurb detailing his death, but I guess he was discouraged by the lack of replies and deleted it...

Me, I didn't respond because I'd seen it on numerous other boards before, and also I haven't heard anything he did, but yeah, sucks.

Nah, i had put in the information then i started pmsing and deleted it since there are other threads around UM about it. I loved his work in Reverend more than Metal Church though.

Doomcifer: he was the original singer for Metal Church, Reverend and David Wayne's Metal Church.

Bummer - Metal Church 1st Disc got a lot of playing time in the mid 80's in my boom box. Warped tape eventually. Reverend wasn't too bad either....

I loved that disc. Played it a ton, back in the day. Strangely, I've never heard thier debut. I always like Wayne's unique sound. It's a shame he passed so young.

They're still being very vague with the "complications from head on collision" bit. That wreck was awhile back, if I'm not mistaken.
