My experience with Absinthe was that it just gave me a body-high - the next day I wasn't hung over, just incredibly tired. It didn't make me halucinate, I hear that's a myth. You cannot import it to America because it's technically illegal.

I've tried absinthe several times (other than in this video) and I've never hallucinated. If anything, there is some subtle "numb" feeling that accompanies the normal alcohol buzz. I have to saturate the drink in sugar as I think fennel (a plant which is a main ingredient) is disgusting. You can actually buy "fake" absinthe in the U.S., which excludes the illegal ingredient -- wormwood (an opiate).

Half of the fun of drinking absinthe is just the myths and history which proceeds it..

Bit off topic...
Metaxa(greek Cognac, Imported) since Im Greek it suited me well.
I downed a whole bottle of Metaxa last summer and somehow ended up at a local festival where Eddie $ Money was playing. HUH? lol...I was annhilated and proceeded to rip up chunks of the lawn and toss them at Eddie. Then tossed in the slammer for the night.
Havent drank It since...
