From DC Coopers Official Facebook Page:

Hello to everyone!!! Heres the official press release that came out a few hours ago. I will be making a public statement next week sometime. I hope you all can help out and spread the word. this endeavor will need as much support as ever has been needed from all of our friends. The Russian/Japan dates are secured at this point. Central europe is being scheduled right now. I want to Thank everyone for all of thier friendship and support over the years, and I hope this will make alot of you happy and excited for the upcoming future. For now,..check into www.royalhunt.com for further updates. But,..heres the Official Press release:

After repeated requests from fans and concert promoters alike, ROYAL HUNT and their former lead singer DC COOPER mutually decided to reunite - for a very few selected dates – in order to perform the entire “Paradox” (their first concept album from 1997) and several of “everybody’s all-time favourite” songs from that period. For information about the shows keep an eye on the “Tour Dates” section.

DAMN!! Holy Batman...Err, Glenn...Now that would be a GREAT Show as an addition to Progpower this year

Doesn't sound like a permanent reunion or new material will be coming, but given DC Cooper's relative inactivity lately it would be nice for him to just rejoin Royal Hunt. Or get a Silent Force album done. Or anything.

If they don't make a new album with DC Cooper, that would be a real shame. I hate 'reunions' for just a couple of live shows, and I've never liked the Silent Force albums.

I wasn't really sold on the Silent Force albums either until I heard Walk the Earth. That's as good an album as anything DC has been involved with.

Royal Hunt always kinda bored me.

Yeah, i'm looking at all these positive reactions going "were you there when they played a couple years back?" That was one of the most uninspiring live acts i've ever seen, and I don't think the addition of Cooper could save that.

Hell I think there was like -one- guy that was really getting into it up in the front row and he was more fun to watch than the band.

You know, same here for both Royal Hunt AND D.C. Cooper. Then again, after reading these news I decided to go back and give Paradox another chance. I am enjoying this!

What you saw a couple of years ago was nothing like RH with DC in the band. I mean, sure, the set is going to be dominated by keyboard wankery, but a frontman as energetic as DC Cooper can make a huge difference.
