DDP files?

No Care Ever
Brian,

The preferred file format is DDP files, or a playable disc will work as well. We do not have the equipment to use the .aiff format. If possible send in a playable disc or one with the DDP files on it. We should be good from there.

Someone explain this to me. Apparently they need this so they can put ISRC codes in the songs.

It's a common disc image format. It contains the actual audio, as well as TOC and ISRC information. I know you can get the DDP export module to BIAS Peak as an expansion, but there are other applications available, too. Google around, I can't remember any cheap alternatives off the top of my head.

They don't need it to inject the ISRC codes, it seems they will be happy with a normal master CD.

They are asking for a playable disc with wave files or a ddp image file.
You need software that will burn a ddp image file or redbook cd to include isrc codes to the plant for replication or wherever you're sending the songs.

You're probably on a mac burning aif files?...Just change them to wave > burn > check > send.

Software that will burn ddp:

this is quite accurate however the ddp formats are typically referred to as yellow book CD-ROM ...the correct audio format with the ddp toc will insure proper error correction. this is a little different than just burning a typical audio disc (redbook master) onto cdr.

i hope i am not being redundant here.
