Hey all. Our drummer ordered the dd1 drum brain for his set of ddrum Redshot triggers. I'm trying to find out if this thing will let us load our own samples or are we stuck with whats already on it? Can't really find any info online except that it has a USB port.....

Guess we'll find out tonight at practice. He got it in the mail the other day. Says it has a USB port so I'm guessing it's for loading stuff onto the thing. I'm a total newb when it comes to triggers and stuff.

Yup, found that out tonight. Dude sort of jumped on the buy before I knew about it and/or could mention anything about making sure your can load samples. Might see if he wants to even return the thing if possible......stock samples are nothing to brag about whatsoever.

Thanks for the help bud!

I'm just having a super hard time finding just the module/brain. All I can find are the full e-kits. Our drummer just has a 5-piece dDrum Redshot trigger set which he wants to at least trigger kick live when possible and next time we record, trigger all the shells. The recording part should be a breeze, since we can just run MIDI out to the DAW and sample replace, also having a bunch of mic inputs on our interfaces as well. So far, we're having a very hard time just figuring out how to set threshold and sensitivity for most of the triggers. The kick seems to pick up the best, the snare/toms...not so much. the instruction manual that came with the DD1 is pretty much useless as well.
