Ok, so I am ready to record drums this weekend. For the first time I want to put Ddrum triggers on each drum and route them into my preamps so I an record them and use drumagog to process the data later in the production process.

I have everything setup but I noticed the triggers are sending a tremendous amount of noise through the pre-amps. Is this normal? I just assumed they would react very similar to microphones.

That's one thing you gotta be weary of--make sure that you're not clipping with the triggers. If they're clipping then it's gonna be hard if not impossible for your sound replacer to detect the different hits....I learned this one the hard way.

Thanks for the all tips. I'll check it out when I get to the studio tomorrow.
