"The wait is finally over! We are really excited to announce to all our fans in INDIA, that DE PROFUNDIS will be touring there this coming October. As of now we can confirm the following 2 shows:

22nd October - Chennai - Chennai Open Festival - YMCA Ground
24th October - Bangalore - The Great Indian October Fest - Royal Place Ground"

De Profundis will tour India next month in order to promote the band’s new album “A Bleak Reflection”, which has been released there by Sony Music India earlier this year. This will mark the band’s return to India since their performance alongside Iron Maiden at Rock in India Festival 2009.

As part of the tour which is sponsored by the British Council, De Profundis will be the main support act at the Great Indian October Fest 2010 in Bangalore, performing just before festival headliners Lacuna Coil on Sunday 24th October 2010.

As previously announced, De Profundis will also be performing at YMCA Grounds in Chennai on 22nd October 2010.

More tour dates will follow shortly.

UK progressive extreme metallers DE PROFUNDIS will return to India this month for a five city tour sponsored by the British Council. The London-based quintet will hit New Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai and the North-East in just eight days. The band, who opened for IRON MAIDEN at last year’s Rock In India, released their second studio album “A Bleak Reflection” earlier this year via Kolony Records (Europe) and Sony Music (India).

At Kingfisher’s Great Indian OctoberFest 2010, DE PROFUNDIS will be main support to the festival headliners LACUNA COIL.

The band had this to say about the tour:

“Ever since DE PROFUNDIS supported the legendary IRON MAIDEN in Bangalore in February 2009, we have been very keen on coming to India on a full headlining tour. All the guys in the band were simply blown away by this amazing country and the incredible support that we received from the Indian metalheads!!! Finally, following months of hard work, we are set to return and unleash our new songs live, including one or two surprises that we have prepared just for this Indian tour. We can’t wait to play these shows – see you soon, India!!!”
