I don't remember if any of you have ever come up with this thread but I wanna do it anyway.

yesterday a guy just threw himself down from the roof of my university and hit the atm machine, then the ground. And the only reason is a girl (well I didn't want to mention this on the girl thread-that would be silly). Then it got me thinking all those songs related to death that I listen to. As you all know some of those songs even praise the death. But how about reality? :(
It hits so cold when thinking about it -imo.

What do you think ?

bilgi.

the music we generally listen to contains stuff that praise the death (take black metal for instance, like it's something graceful or ...good in some cases.

anyway, even if any of you don't think this way , just tell anything what you think/feel about death.

exactly!

Well ok. That's exactly what I think about death. There was a time when I though those kinds of things way too much. Too worried that I'd die too soon and too young, but I don't really put my thoughts in that anymore. It's a fact that someday we'll just end, gotta make the most out of this before that..

i havent read the newspapers yet, i will probably see it there. :( poor boy. and poor girl, too. it must be really hard for her too.

my personal belief is that "death is not the death, but only a transition." (dream theater  ) i have always liked the saying "ölüm bir gerdek gecesidir"...err, i dont know how i can translate that..."death is like the first night of marriage"?

so, i mean if death just walked into the room im in and asked me to come along, i wouldnt be afraid at all. and i wouldnt mind either. what i fear the most is a painful death and im sure everyone will agree with that.

and there is also "dying alone" (just as mentioned in sentenced's "no one there). that surely is very unpleasant but it also has a poetic touch to it. however, when im really honest to myself: no, i would never want to die alone.

right.

but how about the loved ones..I feel pathetic even when I think such a possibilty may happen one day in the near future. Call me weak for this but I really don't think I can't survive if anything like this would happen.

I don't think so.The newspapers and tv channels decided long ago that they will not broadcast such events not to influence people out there.

like I said, they think that if they show such events, like people claim that they will jump from Bosphorus bridge if their demands are satisfied, more people will do the same to get what he wants.

now thats probably the hardest thing. :(

i was on the verge of tears when our ducks (pets) were dead. i dont know what i would if someone really close to me died.

i have only lost one grandmother so far. i was really miserable, then.

but human nature is programmed to forget, or lets say "become inured."

seriously though, i dont even want to think now how it feels to lose a wife, or child.

Don´t know about you but I don´t listen to black metal :p *gg* ;)
Used to think about it a lot when I was about 8 years old. My grandfather has died and I was somehow forced to think about it. I realized that the best is not to think about it. It´ll happen no matter what you believe/think/do/read/whatever. When my thoughts run out of my control it scares me to death so I usually give my best not to think about it.

It happens, maybe just try to be happy that the person in question probably had a good life rather than being some poor bastard in a third world country or something who knew fukk all but suffering from day one

when living your life like an arrow in flight
you must always accept that the end is in sight
grateful at least for the fact that you knew
you came to death it did not come to you

Actually i think that this kind of music especially Death Metal And Black Metal, only influence people who are so into it that their lives depend on it, I mean I heard of some people who await the Black Metal song's lyrics and consider them as orders by the artists to do what is said (e.g: I Will Kill You [CC]) so, in my opinion such bands hold a big responsibility when writing such songs, as for death I'd say when your time will come It'll come even in the oddest circumstances...(the boy who died:confused:    )

It's all about where you look at it, I really don't care if I die tomorrow or in many years, its what I'm missing while I'm still alive that bothers me. Anyway its just my opinion.

I looked at the lemon, and the lemon smiled and said to me "I want you to kill somebody for me"
