This doesnt need a crit.
Its pretty much spot on.
But if i had to choose, add a tiny bit more treble to the guitars with EQ.

Thanks for the positive feedback. The snare is the slate "neversnare" and the kick is "unbelieveable pearl forum kick" from erkan's sample pack I found on here. I did a little eq to the kick and some compression/saturation/eq to the snare. I'm gonna mess with the guitars a little more. I re-amped with my 5150 and I think it might be about time for new tubes.

I´m Agree with Robbie, for my taste is just that the song needs, and a little more crank to the snare like taylors said, but is only my taste too, congrats because sound great!

snare needs more "smack" and "explosion", atleast in the beginning! other than that it's sweet, guitars sound really vivid and "alive"

I wanted a different bass tone too, but the band bought the wrong strings for their 5 string and couldn't get any other ones at the time. We had to use them on my 4 string and they were a little floppy (tuned to G#). For the snare, I just have the neversnare blended with the slate room samples and then compression with the api 2500(snare preset tweaked to get about 3db gr on peaks) and the urs saturation plugin(30ips tape). Eq wise, I have a boost at 200hz and a high shelf above 3k. For the kick I just have it eq'd with a boost at 50hz, cut at 200hz, and a little boost at 10k. The kick and snare are also going to some parallel drum bus compression (api 2500).

now i can´t listen to the new clip. in some hours i´ll write my opinion.
On my masterbus, I have waves ssl comp barely taking touching it (1 db at most), PSP Vintagewarmer adding about 6 db gain, then L2 with a -5.0 threshold. Only 2 more songs of vocals and then effects and extras and we are done!
Nope, not me. I looked it up and it definitely has a similar sound. This is only the second band I've recorded that is this style. The other one broke up right after we finished their demo.
