deathcore mix, needs help badly!

hey guys,
this is a mix of a local deathcore band i've been working with.
its only my second project and i'm not a huge 'deathcore' guy.
i hate the mix so much at the moment, but i can't even think of how to improve it. the guys in the band love the snare too (i know you will all tell me to change it).

i badddly need some advice on where to go from here dudes, help me out

its smashed. i like the vocals, they're remind me of chelsea grin. did you recorded di-s for the guitars? i think they have got too much air/reverb. i would change the drums completely. How did you eq-ed all the stuff, cuz i think everything is fight for their space.
 
For a DEMO for a band, I wouldn't be too disappointed with this.

But by the sounds of it, you don't like the way it sounds at all.

Are you looking for more of a "modern" feel to it? If so, and if you REALLY want that, I'd say start the mix over, and use some samples.

But regarding the current mix, my only complaint is how muddy the geetarzz are.
