Deep Purple return to Oz

just found out that the legends of rock, Deep Purple, will be touring Australia in April and May of this year.

Odd that they play the Entertainment Centre alone yet only play the Hordern when they were co-heading with Status Quo.

EM are great, and they are picking up some really good support slots. Good on em!

I reckon they'd sell more tickets touring by themselves. Last time with Quo the prices were just insane, and no one's been interested in Status Quo since about 1986.

Electric Mary is touring this month, and playing the Step Inn in Brisbane next Saturday. I might even go, which is unheard of for me. Apart from when I saw Europe in London I haven't been to a gig that wasn't in a big venue since Dungeon in 2002.
