Deliverance on vinyl

Try Ebay, they usually got everything. Iam currently bidding on the first print records, hope I get em! And the tins too...Pretty cool ha`? :Spin:

I bought it at a PT show and it was fucking scratched. I've seen it in some stores...all in the US though. You can get it on eBay for under $40...not bad. Unfortunantly it's a fucking picture disc which is kind of gay....but such is life.

Silly question I know. Will probably start some sort of audiophile flamewar, but: Why vinyl ?

I've heard plenty of audiophiles who consider it to be the ultimate medium, but every time I hear an mp3 from vinyl, I cringe at the scratches and pops. Is it a 'sound quality' thing, or just the fact that the package is physically bigger, etc, so you have a nicer album cover, etc ?

I remember when I was a kid buying lots of Kiss records, Zeppelin, VH, Queen, etc, on vinyl, and the thing I miss the most about it is the large format of the album cover and sleeve artwork. But CDs were a vast improvement on the sound, to my ear.

The audiophiles will claim that vinyl has a "warmer" sound, because it is one stream, not binary bits pieced together.

For my part, it's just the collecting that's fun. I'm not going to play my Opeth vinyls. But they are certainly nice to look at, and it's nice to own something only in 1,000 copies that many others wish they could get their hands on.
