Demonstration in Chaos

This is a must if you like McMaster era WatchTower - it's cool to be able to compare the original Rainforest Rec. versions of the 'Energetic Disassembly' material with the re-recordings that came out as EnDis on Zombo. There is also an even earlier version of 'Meltdown' from the 'Cottage Cheese From The Lips Of Death' compilation which sounds extremely raw, almost hardcore-ish.

The only tracks on DoChaos that appear neither on ED or C&R are 'Cathode Ray Window', which is typical WT, and 'Ballad Assassin', a crazy, all-out 2-minute thrasher unlike any other WT song. The quality isn't too great because the tracks were taken off live videos as studio versions do not exist (same goes for the original 'Mayday In Kiev', which was scrapped after Billy White left).

As for the stuff with Ron, I actually prefer the 4 demo songs from '87 - 'Random Murder', 'Eldritch', 'Instincts' & 'Reason' - to the 'Control & Resistance' versions because Jason's vocals are much better than Alan's. Btw, 'Hidden Instincts' was actually called 'Plastic Lasagna' when they first recorded it and marked as 'Plastic' on the hand dubbed cassettes that were sent out.
