desktop whoring

I have a HP Workstation Laptop T9500, 2,6Ghz , 4gb ram and a pretty decent nVidia card.
The thing is, it has a 15" screen with a native resolution of 1920x1200, which made everything in Linux tiny as hell, and there is no way to change DPI on the UI-graphics, only some of the UI-text, major fucking flaw if you ask me. The other thing is the mouse sensitivity, cranked it all the way up and its still slow as a motherfucker (yes i tried xinput m and it still feels fucked up, This guy is right), its probably linked to the problem with high res on the small screen.
On top of that, I have really sluggish Compiz-performance on some effects despite right drivers and tweaked according to recommendations.

So fuck ubuntu and its crappy driver/hardware-support.
Looks like I made this dualboot for nothing, Im staying on Win7 which pretty much kicks ass.

Good for you then, too bad you had such problems. I didn't encounter any of that sort, although I have a four years old computer and Ubuntu works really really well.
I only use Windows for Visual Basic or to run proxy.
