Anyone else like this? from what i've heard, Saxon fans generally don't like this. I've just downloaded the whole lot of it and I actually like it a lot. Calm before the storm, song for emma and ride like the wind are my favourites from it.

Anyone else think it's really good?

Hey... What´s my Name???!!! Count yourself amongst those who dare admit Destiny is one hell of an album. And... be damn proud of it!!!

I've yet to hear it, but if it's by Saxon I know it's good. :)

Destiny is one brilliant album. There will always be people who can´t stand great vocal harmonies and polished sound but that´s their problem...

This album has got it all, ranging from soft hardrock like "I can´t wait anymore" and "Song for Emma" to pure headbanging anthems like "Red Alert" and "Jericho Siren".

If diversity is a problem for anyone of our fellow metalheads I feel sorry for them!

I may upset some people by saying this... but on the next tour I would like hear a song from Destiny rather than once again getting "Wheels of Steel" in a 10 minute sing-along version.

Destiny is a great album (although I find I sometimes skip the plodder Where The Lightning Strikes). The sound is good, the songs are good. It's not Unleashed.. or that type of thing, or like the older stuff, it almost stands on its own. I like lots of heavy rock and AOR as well, so for me this is a good album regardless. I have heard some demos of this album, and before the polished sound, it was more in the Innocence vein (I think), a bit heaver sounding.

There's some decent songs on it (it's Saxon after all), but overall, I would have to say it's their worst album.

Destiny is a great album, just one thats been very well polished.

It does contain some cracking songs such as Calm Before the Storm (Iron Wheels!), SOS, Where the Lightning Strikes and Red Alert just to name a few.

If you haven't got it, get it and listen with an open mind. It is a great album.
