I just listened to Unchain the Wolves for the first time yesterday and it was okay. I think I'm going to have to listen to it a few more times to get an opinion on it.

just found out one of the cds i ordered from Moribund is out of stock and i'm thinking i need some more blackened thrashened death. I'm thinking of Unchain the Wolves.

Based on my preferences, will I like this stuff? Or should I just get my credit slip and wait for the new Graveland?

I think this is how it works:

Unchain the Wolves = focuses on D666's more epic side
Phoenix Rising = focuses on D666's more brutal/death metal side
Cold Steel... = a nice mixture of both

It took me a few listens but now I think Unchain the Wolves is the best D666 album... But then again I haven't listened a whole lot to the others

I have Phoenix Rising and Cold Steel For An Iron Age and prefer Phoenix Rising. Lone Wolf Winter= I'll buy Unchain the Wolves when THR gets it in stock, screw Moribund.
