I'm very interested in purchasing electri6ity but to those that have used it, have you tried making detuned hardcore with it? I'm not talking Drop D either. I want to go as low as G#. So does anyone know of any techniques to go that low? Without sparing sound quality? Thank you in advance for input. This is quite important to me.

i just recently purchased this for my studio... it is really good for sweep picking arrangements and basic powerchords if the guitar player you are tracking is really sloppy.

i would recommend actually tracking the drop g# stuff (with a real guitar) and furthermore adding the other characteristics of electri6ity elsewhere in the arrangment.

Thanks for the input man. Problem here is that i do not have a legit studio so tracking guitars almost always doesn't come out sounding right. This is why i'm so interested in electri6ity. Flawless clean guitar.

i understand... you should just give it a go!

it's a real great addition if you are not the greatest guitar player ... like me!

You can drop tune electri6ity down into C at the most (at least by regular means within the soft)

Also, be aware the sample pool of the library is somewhat heavy (even with a single instance), RAM-wise

Hey there

Took a sec to try what you wanted:

So as you see I first selected C tuning, then dropped more with the tune knob -to Ab.
At first glimpse I'd say it's ok - I even dropped it lower, and sounds acceptable.. Didn't try with DI, just a couple of 'amp'd' distorted patches

First of all, I wouldn't use this to replace a guitar recording - if you want to record guitar, then play a guitar!

I got mine because I wanted to write down midi stuff on the fly - I forget and lose some good ideas constantly and find myself transcribing me afterwards . For me it's useful although I could have settled for just a fretboard view on Sonar, and regular midi..
I guess it could be helpful also for throwing in ideas for your solos, but I haven't tried that yet.

Couple of things.. note the patches take a while to load and are heavy on RAM (I killed half the instrument on that graphic)
Also, even if you're a good piano player this 'instrument' has quite a learning curve -at first it will very much sound like a keyboard -and with no decay whatsoever-, so be prepared to spend some serious time with it if you get it

Hope it helps

that is true... i would rather play guitar than use it but at the same time the videos and stuff using it can be really impressive and well done if done right... Question. ATM The only person who did any guitar for me had to sell their stuff.

Should i bother using this. I know i can play all the parts I play on guitar I can make on Electri6ity if i try it but I lack anything to record guitar HQ atm.

And well my act is a Mix of Industrial, Electronica, Alternative Metal/Rock Punk, and even has some influences ranging from hip hop to dubstep, and drum n bass. all this with a avant garde/experimental edge...
I'm just asking. Is it good to do so. I mean This isn't good enough if you are to make some Children of Bodom or duplicate In Flames or death metal but would I be good with this. I know what this can do

I know this may be and old topic but I figured out the same thing. And I will say that detuning Electri6ity comes out clean as hell. Heres some quick samples of Electri6ity and low tuned stuff.

Also I don't suggest using the amped instruments. Using the DI and an amp simulator seems work work out far better.
