Devius is a progressive/technical death metal band formed around the year 2006 in Córdoba, Argentina, after overcoming a number of line-up changes managed to consolidate with the actual members:
Walter Pidone (vocals)
Fabián Pignataro (bass)
Andrés Gualco (drums)
Gastón Praddaude (guitar)
Manuel Zamar (guitar)
These five musicians came together to elaborate music inspired by death and progressive metal, making use of brutal extreme voices and other elements from classical death and blackened death metal. Devius started out fueled by the passion of creating original music and the admiration for bands like Opeth, Cynic, Behemoth, Atheist, Morbid Angel, Dissection, Death and many others. Classical music and jazz elements can also be found in Devius music.
Update: Devius is planning to put out an EP with the work-title: "Infinity Echoes". The release date is set for mid february. It will contain the two songs from our Demo 2008 (remastered) and two newly recorded songs: "Theory Of Murder" and "Relatively Relative".
